I just got a 1990 safari 377 LE single carb. At first it only ran if i kept priming it, so i put on a new intake boot, and cleaned the carb thoroughly. After that it was running great but a bit rich
so i adjusted the needle in the sliding carb piston. Then it idled great but bogged on the top end.
I set the needle back where it was and tried adjusting the small screw jet on the side of the carb. Now it just seems to flood out every time i try to start it. If i can get it running it runs pretty well as long as i don't idle it too much or go slow. It has new plugs and makes good spark. Does anyone have some idea why it keeps flooding? I just want to ride it while we've got snow. Thanks.
