Hello,
I'm going to be going over the the Whitestar auction next weekend. I'm hoping to buy a sled and a enclosed trailer. I will be going back over the next weekend to pick the trailer up. Is there a way to tell what size ball I would need for the trailer? Would I just need to measure inside the coupler? I don't want to show up to get the trailer with the wrong ball size. Any advice would be great.
Thanks

on top of the coupler ,stamped right in it you will be able to read what size ball it takes

it will either be a 1 and 7/8" or a 2" why not just buy both? they are cheap enough. Unless you are buying a BIG 4 bed enclosed... then it will probably be bigger :p

Ive never seen one that wasn't stamped on it somewhere.
Or to be SAFE just get an 1 and 7/8 and both sizes will fit on it.
Not really but it sounded good.

go to you local ct and get the ball that has the multiple sized sleeves for it ranging from 1 7/8 to 2 1/4.
Or just pulla sled ed move and jam it into the bumper till it hooks up and good to go
go get a sled already so we can ride!

I'd bet on the 2" - unless somebody has replaced the whole coupler assembly for whatever reason. In any case, if the coupler fits down over the 2" and locks, it's not a 1 7/8" coupler. It COULD be a 2 5/16", but those are pretty big couplers, usually only found on trailers rated 3000 -3500 pounds and up. I suppose you could have one of those with you, try it to see if it fits up in the coupler, and return it if not?

I've got a 2 up enclosed Continental Snow King trailer and it takes a 2-5/16" ball.
2" for the 2 place sled trailer.... 2 and 5/16 for the 6000 lb. boat trailer
