Hey yall I am new here. But I am not new to snowmobiles. How ever I am new to the Artic Cat World. I am getting a 79 Jag 340 3000 tomorrow. I do not know if it is an F/C or F/A. I will find out when I pick it up. But I was wondering if you all could tell me about this sled. I am curious if it is oil injection or not. I forgot to ask when I talked to the guy today on the phone that is selling it. I have searched around all day and finally found this site. I have read alot of info. But have not found the answer to my question.

Do you have a wiring diagram of the ignition system. I ask because the ignition switch is gone on this sled I have. I think instead of rigging up a toggle switch or anything like that. I am going to just put the stock ignition back on. I also need to find a throttle lever and cable for it.

I put new hyfax on today, I bought them at local dealer by me on my way home with this sled. It is actually in real good condition. Minus the windshield (missing), ignition switch gone, It starts but can't keep it running. I am going to pull the carb off and clean it. Throttle lever broke. I think I may try and replace it with an aftermarket one. The lights work, I think I may just have to get a clymer or chiltons, haynes repair manual for it. Because I plan on going through this sled this coming summer. The track is in good condition so are the boogie wheels. Rear suspension may need some work not sure yet. The skis are great. This is actually a prime canidate for a restore project. Which I may end up doing.

I need some help people. I have a wiring issue with my jag. The ignition switch is missing. Does anyone know what wires need to be hooked together to get this thing running. Please help. I can get it to spit and sputter but other then that it may fire and run for 30 seconds. But I can't get to stay running.
