: Rave valve question

I pulled the motor on my 98 FIII 700 again and while it's
out I thought I'd go through and clean up the valves. Well
after cleaning the valves and the housing inside and out I
noticed that they still seem to stick a little and not move
smoothly while just holding them in my hand! It seems that
the small outer diameter of the valve just above the threads
is sticking to the I.D. of the housing. Even with a little
oil they still don't SLIDE inside and out. I got out the
Dremmel and polished the stem and the inside of the housing
which made it a little better but I'm still not satisfied.
Any thoughts or ideas?? *http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

Thanks

Why not compare it to the other two valves. Did you have any driveability issues with the sled before. Chances are, your valves are fine !!!. You can drill holes in the covers to observe pop up rpm and synchronization.
