We got this old machine running by changing the internal ignition on the stator ran for about 10 min. then it shut down like the kill switch was hit. Now there is no spark at all ran jumpers to by pass the kill switch still no luck.
How can we test the stator?

Find the lead coming out of the stator there should be a plug in test it with key on while someone is pulling it over.

Yes I get juice out of the stator but nothing from the CDI which is brand new.

Try jumping the brown and black wires on the motor side of the 4 wire plug.If you have spark you need to look at your switches (key, kill and throttle).

Tried that still no spark. Had the Stator checked everything in OK there. Purchase another CDI still none. VERY LOST with this one.

try swapinging other spark plug caps and wires with different ones and outer coils if possiblie. Make sure your key and tether switch is on .

Purchase new coil still nothing. Also jumped the brown and black wires from the stator with no luck. Had the stator tested everything seems to read OK. Trying to find a good stator for testing.

cdi box grounded ?

starting to guess now.

Ran new ground from frame to coil to cdi still nothing.

stator is good

after that you are lossing power. Try takeing a multi meter and test each positive wire to find your problem. the shaft were your stator is, is it clean ? and inside magneto?

try posting some pics here it would help. i have this kaw 340 cdi motor. not the same but similair.
