as was mentioned in the 550 epidemic topic,im trying to find out the part num for the fan upograde kit.somewhere in the topic [JENNY]they mention a fan upgrade kit but no part number,im looking for the number or a way to see if it exists because my dealer says there is no such thing.they checked with polaris , as well as polaris team tips. the kit consists of a more powerful fan and duct work according to the topic.any help would be useful.they also mentioned a fuel pump relocation kit which includes a new gasket for the oil pump instead of the o ring .it do exist and you can use all your orginal lines except you need to get a longer main fuel line..the relocation is just above the starter on the housing.the oil pump gasket if ordered separtely cost 2$ ,its for to help stop the vibrations and isolate the pump from the engine also to cool the pump. the total cost is under 10$ as compared to the 50$ kit,dont waste your money .they have gotten enough,considering all the 550 probs. the kit im told is to help cool the fuel and pump but how hot do it really get,considering the fuel sits in the lines only a very very few seconds or less.the fuel in my opion is only as hot as what sits in the tank or marginally higher under the hood.even spring riding the fuel is still cool,have you ever wasted on your hands or felt the gas can to fill it up.the part number for the fuel upgrade is in the epidemic topic that i posted.
