Just picked up an 88 srv in very good condition 3800 miles, runs and goes great, anybody ever owned one? what kind of problemscan I look forward too...only gave 600 for it

I had two of them and never had no problems , Did no,t get very good gas milage . My second one I piped and trail ported and put duel flatside carbs on it , That heiped the gas and gave it more power out of the hole and midrange , they are good sleds out of the hole up to 60 or so where I have all my fun.

27,000kms on the 86 when I sold it

The gas tanks are smal 5.8gal I usualy saw 70miles per tank

my cousen has an 88 SRV. i think they are sweet. even though i would NEVER buy them unless i came across a extremly good deal or a giveaway... as with any yami. lol. but all in all i wouls ride one.

the shock towers arnt the best looking though.. :p

I've had cooling fan problems with mine. I've replaced the bearings more than once and replaced the whole assembly more than once. I've only had it about ten years.
Other than that, It is the old stand by. If the other sleds are broke, that one will start and run when ever I need it.
