I am needing to find a piece of pipe that has an inside diameter of 3.5 inches about 4 foot long. It can be metal or PVC. I was looking at Lowes this weekend and all their pipe was either 2,3,or 4 inch inside diameter. Does black pipe or any other type of specialty pipe come with a 3.5 inch ID.

Thanks

Check @ a steel supply or metal fab shop. They'll have a better selection than a big box store.

At Lowes the 4 inch PVC was 4 inch ID not OD. I thought the same thing going in. 4 inch OD with about 1/4 on each side wall would get me close. It was all 4 inch ID and about 4.5 OD.
I am using it for a ground sleeve for a pole we are putting up. The pole is just under 3 1/2 inches OD. I want to concrete the ground sleeve in cement and that way I could remove mine if need be.

yes and no back in the 20's and 30's they sold all half sizes now they stop at 2 1/2 i can still get fittings for some 3 1/2 and 4 1/2 and 7 -7 1/2 where are you i might have a piece in our shop not sure if i will or it will be long enough but i will look for you we are on the south side of chicago also if you can find 4 " extra hevey seg 80 they make it thicker wall the ID is smaller because it has to fit the same threeds on the fittings in chicago there is chicago pipe and iron and calumba pipe they both should stock it i would bet its right about 3 1/2 id

Thanks everybody.
Sounds like I should be able to find a piece just gonna have to do some digging. I will need a piece about 4 foot. I plan on being about 3 foot deep with a foot up to use to plumb it. Once the concrete sets I will cut it off at the ground.
