AT least the weather man was right this time, and predicted 12-18 inches of snow in the westbend area of wisconsin, and we got it, trails opened up at noon, got home from work at 4:30, don't ask me why i worked when every other business was closed, its a metal shop. snow is still coming down pretty hard.... took my sled out to go on the trails by my self to see what it was like, and the trails are very nice.... i almost wish i had a long track today... an srx doesn't do too well in 4 foot drifts.... getting to the trail was the hard part, the deep ditches appeared flat there was so much snow... real deep... not many people were on the trails as far as i could tell... i only went about a mile to go play in some drifts in a good spot for maybe 20 minutes and i turned back to go home and the tracks i left earlier were gone, even with one inch studs and a good 1 1/4 inch track your not gonna hook up good in this pow.
i'll wait till tomorrow to go out on the trails, let the wind die down and wait till visibility increases.... let the groomer get out and all.....
Good stuff..
thats the story....
