I am thinking about deff going 4 stroke and i was wondering if any one here would happen to know anything about the Arcticcat Jaguar Z1. Do you guys think it is worth going with it, i know that the weight is kinda a pain in the but. but other then that is it worth getting.
thanks jason

On SnowtraxTV last week they said it's a pretty good sled. One thing you might want to do is check out the Yamaha's. I rode Arctic Cat for 20yrs and when I wanted to switch to a 4-stroke, I went to a dealer that sold both Arctic Cat and Yamaha. They told me that if you wanted a "fun" 4-stroke(That was their words) to buy the yamaha. They also said that they wouldn't sell the AC 4-stroke. Back then AC only had the 660 & t660 but for me personally, I'm glad that I switched and haven't regreted it. The main thing is what kind of riding do you do? The Z1 is a 125hp(I think maybe 130hp) trail cruiser and not meant for racing down the trails, kind of like what the sabercats were.

My buddie has a RX1 I love the sounds of it. But I dont really care for the looks. I also dont really care for the newer yamaha looks either. I herd that the yamaha has one of the better suspensions. but i was reading a magazine and they said that cat had the better all around sled. but it was ranked to high on a couple marks. but any help would be awesome for helping me pick the right sled for me.

either one. I want something that will be really well on the trails and beable to go out across a like or pond for when ever i decide to go fishing. I also want something that looks and runs well.

the jaguar Z1 would be perfect for your application then IMO, its purely a trail sled with plenty of power to do what ever it is you want to for ice fishing and just cruising down trails COMFORTABLY.

Now with the Z1 you can add a back rest right or something along that line... dont remember at the moment,

the 2up z1 already has a backrest on it or you can put one on a single seat. the new chassis is very comfortable when riding. if you didn't mind a 2 stroke i'd look at a f series lxr model. that would be my choice. i'm waiting to see what cat brings to the table next year.

Thats the thing though i only want a 4 stroke only because i herd that they are more dependable and better on gas...

2 strokes aren't far behind when it comes to fuel efficiency, but 4 strokes go longer with out rebuilds.... for touring i'd get a 4 stroke.
