I have a 1998 Vmax 600 sx, The temparature light keeps flashing Solid, them blinks 4 times,
Sometimes Three times. Is this a code like in some of the older vehicles?? or anyone have any idea what this could be?

I have the 98 manual and we have the same engine, mine is in a Mountain Max 600 with the smart carb and this is from my manual. should be the same...


long, short, short short = discontinuity or shorting of water temperature sensor is detected

long, short, short, short, short = The input of engine speed sensor is not correct and this can only be detected while the engine is running.


Just in case:

long, long, short, short, short = discontinuity on the solenoid valve actuated power lead (to ECU)
