I just bought a snowmobile in the US. I have it back in Canada and have insurance on it. I don't think I'm going to be able to get it registered in Canada by the weekend. Still going through all the steps with RIV. Can I get a 3 day OFSC trail permit without it being registered? I tried contacting OFSC but there closed until Tuesday. I'm just wondering what information I will need to give the OFSC to get my 3 day permit. I'm allowed to ride it in Canada as long as I have all the information/paper work with me from the border. I'm hoping I can get a trail permit. Any information on this would be great.

Thanks

I think all you need is the VIN of the sled.

I know you posted it in the correct forum but you'd have a timely answer posting that in the General Snowmobiling section. I seldom come here.
As you stated, you had insurance on it and that is required by law.

Your answer was correct Revrnd,
The VIN would have been the only info necessary to buy a trail permit.
