I'm looking for a digital video camera that can also take good quality sill pictures. Don't want to have to sell my sled for it but I would like to buy a descent camcorder. I'm leaning towards the DCRTRV740 of sony cause of the still picture image which is 1152 X 864 and cause of the sports case which is weatherproof and waterproof, up to 7 feet deep apparently. Anybody have a good suggestion or advice for a camcorder?

I was looking at the JVC 920...it can take 1 mega pixel stills and has a decent optical zoom at 10x. Also can be used as a webcam. Price here is $1299 CDN. Also has a colour viewfinder, 3" LCD screen, NightALive night vision....

I have the PV-DV51D and let me tell you I'm very happy with the quality of this camera. Has awesome video quality. When it's on the TV it looks just like a DVD, very clear and sharp. It has a still shop option too. The pictures arnt not as good as a normal picture, but they are still pretty good. This is last years model DV camera and I think the new number is 501. Not positive on that. This DV camera has a Firewire output which makes uploading to your PC a breeze(very fast). So if you dont have Firewire you might want to look into installing that on your PC. Hope this helps.
