Hi I am thinking about buying my first snowmobile, I have got my eyes on two machines; 1991 Polaris Indy 500 and a 1993 mxz 440. I have heard that the Indy 500 is very reliable but what about the Mxz, is it known for having problems and does it have any power...?

The Indy is bulletproof. But I would buy a MXZ over it anyday. Buy something a little newer. 93 MXZ was in a F chasis. Try some thing like the 96 MXZ 583. Great sled. Has enough power to avoid making you bored as you get better at riding.
