I have a mach Z 800 Triple, with big bore kit, heads planned, ported, and polished, Brand new Comet 108EXP clutch. Anyway long story short, I have alot of Hp and it isn't hooking up on the ice. I have about 144 studs in a 1 inch camoplast ripsaw track. So now I just need to get this sled to stop spinning off the line so far. Maybe more weight, I only weigh 160 and maybe this isn't enough to set the studs. Anyone have any ideas?

trying to hook up a mach with 144 on ice is going to be hard.

Do you have your skid adjusted for max transfer to the rear? Should sit down and lift skis for draggin. The rear of the sled I mean should sit down.

So are you saying I need more studs? Yes I have the limiter strap lengthened, and the adjustment in the front there for the shock adjusted to put more force down on the front of the slide rail

with the hp the mach has you need 240 or more studs to hook it on ice.

I'm curious why you switched to a Comet. Has it helped?

The factory clutch blew into pieces therefore I had to replace it and so I replaced it with the comet. No particular reason for going with this clutch other then it was the one that was readily available. This clutch has given me the bottom end that this sled was lacking before.

144 studs is not going to do it on a stock Mach Z. If this sled is not going to see trails then you need chisle studs & alot more then 144. Then Hold on because it is going to rip your arms off. My friends ZRT 800 will lift the skis at 70 mph. His track does not spin
