I don't know if I'd use paint thinner. I think it would prematurely dry and crack it. I've always used Spray-9 on the boat seats and all the vinyl through it with great results. Just add a scrub brush for anything stubborn. I mean this stuff melts tree sap, dead bugs and all other manner of crap.

WOW....You guys come up with some crazy seat cleaners.....and slippery ones at that too!! :christmas:
I take it you guys that have suggested WD-40 or Armor-All have never owned a dirtbike? Go putting that crap on there and you'll be off the back in no time!

I use Meguire's Gold Class Spray on Leather cleaner/conditioner. It works well to get dirt off the seats and keeps the seat itself nice and soft-without the slipperyness...it soaks into the seat after a few minutes. Armor-All will soften the seat material as well, but it has a greasy/slippery film that doesnt soak in like the leather cleaner....that can be dangerous on high powered machines.... !!!

I've taken a liking to Charmin, the WD 40 gives me a rash! :undercover:

I use Carhartt Cordura, the kind found on a pair of rugged bib overalls. I plant that on the seat for a few hours and forget about whatever it was that was on the seat. Usually whatever was on the seat before disappears. The only downside is that rubbing the seat for hours has a tendency to cause some wear. I think I'm probably getting 400-500 hours of use per seat cover. Time for a third one on the old rig. But hey, I can't complain about stains!
