If a CDI box goes bad on my forula iii 600 is it possible for it to still work enough to fire one cylinder? What is the life-span of a CDI box?

Could be your CDI or a stator or both. The best way is to bring to a dealer, they can test it. Both parts are expensive.It would be a drag to replace one or the other and the problem doesn't go away.... I purchased a Mach Z with the same problem. It was the stator. Changed it and haven't had another problem for three years. Going out tonight for a run after work.Jamie

Ooops it must not be the CDI. I'm gettin' spark on all 3 cylinders but the sled won't fire at all now. Gas problem? What is the fuel pump on a Formula iii?
