I need some guidance here. I need to change the settings so I can send private messages but I'm unable to locate where I can do this.

Hi Richard,

go to your userCP and click edit options.. from there go down to second box(private messaging and notifications) and enable private messaging. That will allow all members/moderators to private message you.

There are also different boxes you could check where just certain people on your buddies list or only moderators could PM you and You PM them.. The choice is there for you to make.

Sorry guys, my box does not offer that. I have four options but nothing that will allow me to enable private messages.

Under PRIVATE MESSAGES I have:

List Messages
Send New Message
Track Messages
Edit Folders

Its Under Edit Options part way down. Edit options is accesed from user cp.
