Can anyone tell me approx what your coolant temp should be on a ported/piped 670. And what temp you shouldn't go over when working one of these motors. tx ofr any help.

My 96 670 is ported but factory twin pipes and my temp quage stays below half all the time unless im on ice or hard trails and theres no snow cooling the exchangers but once I get back in the snow it cools right down. Do I know where optimum is? no but the way I see it if the gauge isnt in the red Im all set

My summit is always on the low side if I have go aways on a road to this one gas stop is the only time I have seen it come up.

thx guys but i don't have temp gauge like what comes with these sleds stock, all i got is a infrared heat gun. I was hoping to get an idea of what temp these things run at in degrees F/or C. and what not to go over.

with any 2 stroke it should be under 500 F.
