The local weather station is calling for the possibility of a major winter storm for Wednesday. I know it is only Saturday and it will take more time to find out for sure, but we are really due for one with wet heavy snow and lots of it. It usually happens sometime around Easter

The biggest was four feet the first week of April! So this stuff does happen regularly.

I will keep you informed.

Digger,

I remember at the beginning of the season this year you predicted a good winter for snow conditions.. I'm too lazy to look up the thread but I do remember it. You were Right ! Let's hope the streak continues with this one. If not, you still did a great job nailing this winters prediciton.

Thanks for all your reports this year it was nice to know what was going on up there.

Hey Digger,

I told you two weeks ago, that it would probably be my last trip of the year. You get some good snow this week, and I could possible be having a burger on saturday......

That was easy this year. Just too many signs pointed to a good winter for us. The squirrel count was absolutely unbelievable!!! I will give more weight to that one in future years. There are all kinds of signs to watch and to interpret. Just put them together right and you can outdo the experts!!! The cats still are running 100%!!!!!!

Glad you enjoyed it.

Quite truthfully; I'm tired, worn out, beat, mentally exhausted, sick and tired of fighting the snow!!!! But, as long as we get sleds; BRING IT ON !!!!!!!!! GIVE US YOUR BEST SHOT!!!!!! I WILL PUT THE CHAINS BACK ON THE PLOW TRUCK AND KICK MOTHER NATURES BUTT ONE MORE TIME !!!!!!!!!!

Get ready for that burger; I'll keep you updated.

They have issued a weather statement that we will probably receive a few inches of wet heavy snow tonite and tomorrow that could interfere with travel.

Doesn't sound like the biggie though.

It is snowing now, but we aren't supposed to get any huge amount. This will just freshen up the trails and add to the many feet we still have.

Digger,

I wish you would quit posting about all of this snow! I thought I was done for the year and actually have had the Harley out a few times. NOW they are saying we could get 4" to 8" on Friday or Saturday. Now I wish I would have planned that last hurrah with you in March! I am sure your are beat! Thank you and Linda for all you do for us during the season!

I finally got the little 440 Doo out today!!!! We went out to pick up signs left over from the Relic Ride. The back trails were rough. The groomed trails ahhhhhhhh soooooo smoooooth!!!! Never seen the approaches so nice either. They really have done a good job of grooming. That four or five inches we got made things just a little greasy in the corners. Sure they will be packed down good tomorrow when they are done grooming. Ya, we have more snow coming. We really don't need it, but I guess we'll take what we get. I just can't say enough good about the grooming.

I'm not sure how much longer they are going to hold up. The snow is disappearing more everyday. I guess there is still a long way to go when you start with as much as we had, but with the sun working on them it does take its toll. I won't promise them lasting much beyond the fourth of July. Nights are still in the teens so everything sets up good.

Going to ride again tomorrow; awwwwwww. Hey, it's my turn!!!!!

We are going to be open on Easter and will have gas, food, and beverage.

Geeze. Just got word of another buddie that died on the Fox Lake about a month ago on a sled. His dad came in today. Guess he hit an island about 500 feet from his home and of course a tree. The fog was pretty dense. Going to miss his constant yakking !!!!!
