Does any one know the HP of the 583 and 670 in the FZ for 98 and 99.

probably around 98 or so for the 583 with good torque and about 117 or so for the 670, both great engines known for there reliability, torque, and good gas mileage from everything I have heard

more hp on the 670HO mxz around that year

I agree with those numbers, except there is a big difference between the 98's and the 99's. In 99, they brought out the 670HO, which was about 126-127 hp. This was due to a different rotary valve, slightly higher compression, and carb changes.

All in all, great motors and very reliable...

He was asking about the FZ.. it didn't get the HO engine.. so 117 hp.

And actually the 670HO came out in the 98 summitX .
