Left yesterday morning around 6:30 am and unloaded in St. Ignace and riding by 9:30. I was skeptical about going there but was soon pleasantly surprised by the conditions. the trails were flat and smooth totally snowcovered and hard. the trails being hard was a drawback since I don't have studs and there was'nt much snow coming up into the tunnel until the sun came out and warmed the trail up a bit. we rode to cut river, rexton, trout lake, hulbert and back. we put on 187 miles and were loaded up by 5pm I would rate the trails as excellent. we only had about 6 miles of marginal trail due to logging access on a couple trails, these were all still snow covered and icy but more on the icy side. In the afternoon the trails got awesome after the snow loosened up and we seen two groomers. we made the trip from hulbert to st. ignace in less than 2 hrs with breaks in there too. (around 70 miles). Just my two cents. for those on the fence it looks like theres another 1-2 weeks of riding in this area if it stays cold.
