Well yesterday, out of the blue, a guy stopped and "bought" my 06 600 H.O. He is coming back Sat to pick it up and bring me the money.

I've taken him at his word, (guess that was all the excuse I needed) we jumped in the truck and I picked up the 08 600 CFI LX. It is not "Brandy new" had 390 miles on it
Filled it up on the way home and we went riding. Put 56.7 miles on and it took 3.622 gals of gas. That equals 15.65 MPG. This is a 31% improvement over the 06 600 H.O. Fusion carbed which I consistantly was getting 11.5 to 11.9 from. (400 mains everything else stock)

It was about 38 degrees F, ( engine temp was warm ranging from 165 to 170 degrees F)Trails ranged from soft pak to slush to bare in spots but all & all not bad riding. In the first 17 miles of trail riding my max rpm reading was 8150 and max trail speed was 68 MPH.

My lake run on soft pack showed 8150 max and 91 MPH twice. This was easying off the line and gradually building speed to elimate hi rev or track speed, then ran about 1/2 mile.

The M-10 was set soft so my 300 plus lbs bottomed out a few times. We adjusted the rear shock angle and now it might be just a touch stiff.
Put on 93 miles for the day and I was really pleased at how well this sled railed the corners and and the curves. No front end push. Came with the Polaris twin runner carbides.

Every improvement I was looking for over the 06 was foefilled.

Biggest dissappointment, I didn't realize how much the color and graphics resembled the 05 RX1 behind me, Oh well.

Wow. Never noticed how similar the graphics and colours were. Congrats on the new sled. Hopefully the purchaser of your previous sled keeps his word.

Dang, aren't you the lucky one. Still riding and a new sled to boot. You must be living right. All that aside, keep us updated on the M-10 in the IQ, kinda thinking of one for me somewhere down the road.

You may call it luck, I like to think of it as good planning.

My first experience with an M-10 was the one I bought directly from Fast and installed myself in my 97 Ultra Touring. That came with the Extra 12 which I thought would be "Tits" but it wasn't. After that sled I promised that all my future sleds would have M-!0. Unfortunately the next few were not available but the Edge suspension worked great for me after I added the heavier rear springs. My 03 Prox had one of the best riding skid frames I ever owned. I just have not been able to get my Fusions to ride as good as that Prox and considered buying M-10's for those. I didn't like the original installation job so I was reluctant to do the retro's.

This 08 600 IQ CFI LX "out of the box" I would rate overall as possibly my best performing, handling, riding and fuel mileage sled.

My 03 ProX 800 probably 2nd and my 02 800 XC/SP 3rd.

Now at my age and size I consider my self a moderately aggressive trail rider. I also like to pin the throttle on the lake. This sled pleases me on all fronts.

If I need to go faster on the lake , I'll bring out the 900 or the 800 with Nitrous.

Regarding the M-10. I believe the #1 reason any one doesn't like it , is because it hasn't been adjusted for there weight and riding style.

The second reason I'm told is that they are not fast. My Ultra would top out around 75 MPH but my son had quite a time (then), trying to hang with the old man through the twisty's and mogels.

In case you hadn't guessed, I would definitely recomend the M-10 for all purpose trail riding.

If you are a snocrosser than get the Dragon.

Lake racer that's something else.

Deep snow than the RMK.

I'll let you know if I have any problems or any neat experiences on it to share.

Well here is the new sled with my few custom touches. I took the mirrors off one of my ATV's to try out and like them better than the old style flags Polaris uses on these hoods. I added the center projector beam headlite also.
