For those folks in central Ontario, the Heart of Ontario S/C has scheduled the puddlejump for Sunday May the 4th. This is the Sunday before Mothers Day.

its nice when they just want to play 24/7 and fined a sucker to do it with lol.

Our old girl plays for 10 minutes then sleeps for 23hrs & 50 min.

But if somebody new is around she will hang with them, she likes the smokers

because there in and out.

Where did you hear that. I heard that it was done, no more water cross in Uxbridge. I would like to know, I am looking forward to running the sled again

Yes I saw elsewhere today it has been cancelled due to the MNR getting involved. No idea as to why.

One would wonder what involvement that the MNR could have in this. It is on private property on a seasonal body of water, (ie it dries up by summer time). Too bad as it was a great event that raised money for the local hospital.

At this point in time, it is RUMOURED that the MNR responded to complaints from local townspeople.
Probably the same townspeople that will cry foul when they loose some local hospital services that this fun charity fund raiser used to support.
There's efforts being made by members of the local snowmobile clubs in the area to try to locate another location.
I'm sure we'll hear about it when or if it happens.

Great world we live in when it takes only a few people to affect so many others. Especially the beneficiaries of various fund raising events.
