I was looking at the secondary, and it moves on the jackshaft 3/8" Is this normal, or is something wrong? Is it self allinging?
I just had a clutch put on, and this is the way it came back to me.

Usually I set up the secondary with 1/4 play but 3/8 is not too much. Yeap its normal.

Because the secondary needs to keep itself aligned with the primary. As rpm increases, the clutches open, but only one half of each clutch opens up. The play is in the secondary so that is always lined up with the primary and doesn't cause excess belt wear.
