I bought a 97 Skandic 500 at an auction. It has no electric start, and has 1000 Km on it. It is a bit to pull over as there is good compression. Kids and the wife will use it, so I think I should put on electric start. This is the joe blow 497 Fan, and they have had elecric starters for years, so I would think it would be a matter of installing the electric starter, install a battery, and find the magneto charger wire for the battery. After that it should be a simple handle bar mounted push switch that may be on a relay.

Has anyone ran into this modification?

I am in Edmonton, Alberta, so sledding season is just around the corner!!!!
