kennypope 11-13-2002, 10:53 PM Glad to hear it I've got about 80 km's or 50 miles so far and share the same fealings, best sled I've ever driven, as far as total package of handling ergo's and response from the mill. And it can only get better, when I burn out the chip and get out on our trail system, groomed or not I think it will still be a blast!! :D
VTsleder 11-13-2002, 11:23 PM Sounds like you guys are having fun! I think my new Rev 600 hasn't hit the manufacturing production line. Dealer said shipment is expected around the first or second week of December. I don't know why it's taking so long. From hearing you guys talk about how much you love these sleds, it does sound like it will be worth the wait. Not much snow at present here in Vermont anyhow, so I don't mind waiting for my sled too much.

ViperER2 11-14-2002, 03:40 AM hey VT-
hang in there... I got a chance to try out my REV 800X two weeks ago and it was sweet!
believe me, it will be worth the wait! !!!
REV69 11-14-2002, 06:54 AM Does any one know how many miles you need on the REV before you burn out the chip? ;)
tha smokah 11-14-2002, 10:14 AM owner manual says 300 miles..
kennypope 11-14-2002, 10:19 AM I talked to a doo mech. and it varies from sled to sled, but it's suposed to be 4hrs running time, and with the hr meter on the rev it will be easier to track the time it will take. Ive got 80km's and 1hr and 45 minutes so far. Last year on my renegade 800 it was around the 375-400 km mark that the sled woke up. You don't notice a huge jump in performance, but we regularly line up and drag each other, and that's were you notice it. 3-4 sled lengths in 660ft is hard to feel but easy to see! :sly:
slugo 11-14-2002, 10:59 AM Nothing some duct tape and a stand can't fix
kennypope 11-14-2002, 11:36 AM hey slugo you must be popular at your local golf club! :nervous:
slugo 11-14-2002, 05:01 PM The golf cart is half the fun!!!!!!!
I got to figure out how to "burn out the chip on all golf carts."
Wheelies are fun
3-4 sled lengths after the chip expires, Ya right. Dont think so.
kennypope 11-14-2002, 05:23 PM Well I did on my gade last winter, why would i bull sh.......
kennypope 11-14-2002, 05:25 PM I was just testing never added a picture to a post before
Kenny Sorry if I offended you but 3-4 sled lengths wasnt from the chip, Maybe from the sled loosening up. Been involved with the series three from 2000 and we didnt see it. Heard all kinds of stories about the chip. The best one I heard was from tt670. He was at a dealership and the punk behind the counter said when the chip on his sled expired the sled almost went over backwards. No offense intended.
kennypope 11-14-2002, 10:56 PM thanks man, didn't want to get any feathers ruffeled, enjoying both renegade and rev, can't waite to kick it!!!
sledcrazy 11-15-2002, 12:10 AM Wish I had a brand new sled this year..... :inlove: Nice sled!
kennypope 11-15-2002, 11:00 AM Hey sled crazy you shoudn't give away all your secrets like that!! :D :D
Limskii 11-15-2002, 09:18 PM Hey kennypope, is that the Pillsbury Dough Boy on your Rev in the second pic. ?
kennypope 11-16-2002, 05:45 AM yep that fat little ####### can really ride!!! :blahblah:
tha smokah 11-17-2002, 01:48 PM nice looking sled..mine is the black sport 800 rer..i learned about yellow last year(with my mxzx 800 two tone)..it just get to dirty..i was riding in the UP of MI..and i got red clay on my belly of my sled..and it never came off...not even with my pressure washer..and my dads black mxz looked like new..
03 rev 800
REV69 11-18-2002, 08:22 AM Sled looks great :) We just need some Snow
Skidoowes 11-18-2002, 01:40 PM Don't ride on the clay! Try using Turtle Wax Bug and Tar remover... keeps my yellow machine looking like new.
andw1 11-18-2002, 03:17 PM I used armor-all on the rough belly pan plastic on my wife's legend (silver plastic) and the orange washed right off, I ride western UP all the time and do the same on the ATVs. Wax on the smooth parts, armor-all on the rough and vinyl parts and WD-40 on the metal parts and it will wash clean every time. ;) If it's already stained, you could try bleach white(sp) but test it on a small out of the way area first, that's how I got the stains off the underside of the fenders on the ATVs. Hope this helps you some.
kennypope 11-19-2002, 07:13 AM I think my dealer has a cleaning agent that works well to clean the plastic on the bomb's, anyone that had a yellow mxz used it. This is my first yellow doo and I think I'm going to need it. The side panels on the rev show dirt very well. But I don't regret getting yellow, aslong as there is a way to clean it.
SkiDoo MXZ 800 11-20-2002, 04:15 PM Hey....you said you had a 02 MXZ 800...just picked one up, 2002 with 130 miles, bascially brand new. Will I like, how fast? Had a 1999 Polaris XCR 700 last season, triple, very very fast, but heavy.....will the MXZ 800 keep up. Has to be faster than your Rev 600???
Rock on... :hallo1:
