Will 136" rails from a 2001 rmk fit a 1999 gen 2 with the extra 10 ? Can I use the same holes that the RMK used or will I need to drill new holes?

Double check me on this, but thinking the rear is moved back about 2" on the 136" setup. You can doublecheck by comparing it to the 121". The front should line right up.

Would you drill new holes in the rails for mounting the rear swing arm ? Has anyone you know done this before? I do not want to mess up the performance of the sled by doing it wrong. I could buy rail extensions that are correct for the sled but thought the one piece rail would be much stronger.Thanks Dave

Been messing with this stuff a long time Dave. I can safely say you aren't going to go wrong either way if you use the extensions from tracksusa.com. I have NEVER heard of any trouble of any kind regarding them, and TONS of guys are using them. On the RMK setup (which is likely a lot more expensive than just extensions?) you would not modify the rails, you would locate the new rear mounting point and beef it up with a plate. It's not a big deal, and I can walk you through it if you like.

Second thought. You're ging to need a 136" track anyway. Many times tracksusa will put a kit together for you that includes a tunnel extension, rail extensions, and a track, all at a discounted price. Oh, and please, the normal disclaimers apply. Could you please walk me through the steps of where the holes in the tunnel should go?You do know that all I have are the rails from the RMK and not the hole suspension.I have an EXTRA 10 suspension and would like to use the RMK rails with it which are from an EDGE suspension. If I move the holes back on the tunnel would I have to mod. any other parts on the suspension? By the way I am in the process of putting on an EDGE gas tank so I can add a shorty seatand I bought a 136 "x 1.25" track and can not wait to see the finished product . Dave, I assumed you had the entire suspension. 01 RMK uses the Extra Lite suspension. I'm pretty sure there's no parts interchangability between the 2 suspensions. Using the Lite rails on the Extra suspension is something I'm not going to be able to help you with. -Al
