I was going to dump the remaining fuel out of my tank on a 02 MXZ 600 X and sort of forgot to take the clamp off first. Well anyway I pulled on the tank until the pickup and grommet pulled out, I wrestled it back into place eventually and now I just wonder if its gonna seal up good or if I should look forward to some troubles or anything. I have only put in like 4-5 gallons of gas since but wonder about when I fill it up all the way.

I did the same thing to my 94 fz as long as you have it all back right I see no problem. did you put the hose and gromet in first then work the fitting in after that was the only way I could get it in cause the nipple is made to force out on the gromet..... makes a good mess also :p
