Attached are the ski's on my sled. Is that a metal ski with a plastic skin?

Is that considered a metal ski?
Is that considered a plastic ski?

I just bought the sled and am not sure whether to go plastic or not or just ride it and find out if the skis are feasible.

If this is a plastic skin, where can I buy replacements cheap?

That is the skis that came with the sled. Steel frame plastic skin. If the skis are worn then I would upgrade them. You can buy the skin at a dealer but have a good look at the frames 1st. Make sure they are good & solid.

Better steering & lighter as well. A pair of Ski-doo's Flex skis (plastic bottom/aluminum bridge) would be an improvement. Whatever you do, stay away from the Precision skis. Probably a lot of them for sale as a lot of folks have ditched them for aftermarket or the newer Pilot skis.
