I have a question on studs, (the type for snowmobile tracks), A friend of mine bought a 07 Phazer last year and wants me to help him put some studs in it. I know about putting the tunnel protectors in, what I need to know is how many should we go with to just help out on the traction part ?? He is not doing any racing, or deep snow riding just every day playing, and trail riding. THANKS for any comments !

It all depends on how much ice he'll be riding on and how much money he wants to spend. The more icy conditions, the more studs. 72 or 96 i think are the normal numbers for the average trail riders.

with a phazer i would go 96, when you start getting into the bigger sleds go 144 other then that more studs just seem to ruin the tracks quicker

Thanks everyone for the input !! This weekend we bought everything we need to do this. 96, 1/4" bite HedgHog studs, and tunnel protectors.
