i just bought a new winter toy.97 mxz 670 .I never owned a sled, and only driven one once. I don't know to much about sleds but I know that the owner before me took good care of it. Rebuilt motor and new track two seasons ago. the compression test was 130 on both sides. I am very happy with the look of the sled and i am sure it will be fast. just want to get some opinions on what others think of this snowmobile, also what are some options on some good safe helmets and where is the best place to look thanks

Hey, and gratulations to the snowmobile! I dont like the s2000 chassis, but the mxz 670 is a very nice sled with very much engine.

As a first sled I can believe it's good.

I still have mine and bought it new..It is an awesome machine and has been very reliable..It is pretty much all original and has around 15,000 kms on the clock!..My biggest complaint would probably be the inside ski lift when cornering but then again I do keep mine setup with a light front end for good wieght transfer..

I ride one, it has 20,000 kms on it.
