Hi, the other day I noticed that my pipe was leaking right where it connects to the manifold. I bought it used a few monthes ago and I can see where they tried to patch it with copper before and then painted it. I've still been riding it alittle, but was wondering if it was dangerous for the motor and if I'm losing a lot of power cause it feels like I am. I'm thinking about just buying a dynoport pipe for it, are they worth it? Or should I just have it repaired?
* * P.S. it's a 00' 700 with Dpm * Thanks

If it is leaking at the manifold, there is a chance that the engine could suck air in from there and cause your cylinders to lean out...I would have it fixed before riding it at all.

Yeah, I decided to get it fixed before riding it anymore. I checked my plugs while riding and they were pretty good though. I'm just going to wait and have the pipe repaired

Leaks before the can WILL make you loose power. I dont think it would be expensive to have your pipe repaired.

The leak was right were the pipe slides over the manifold. I got it fixed the other day by a local guy, it only cost me 30 dollars. The bell on the end of the manifold was also badly dinged up and he smoothed that all out and fixed it too. The whole thing is really clean looking, it looks like new.
