Hi people. I bought a 90 Indy 400. I need to fix some of the cobbling some one has done to it :cussing:. The wiring is a mess. Was hoping to find a service manaul for it on here. It's updated with an xtra-10 rear. The previous owner removed all the studs, will I cause damage to track if i don't restud it? Not sure how many but looks like a lot. Do I leave the carbides on it, with no studs? The seat is trash. A buddy give me a seat off an 96 ? XCR it's different, the tank for it extends under the seat. If I find a newer tank will I be able to use that combo on mine? It has an 18 top 35 bottom this seems off to me, I want the sled for nice pull moderate speed, any recomendations. Sorry for all the question guys, I haven't touched sleds in years and then it was an elan so this one is a touch different.

Can't help you with the manual but if you go to your dealer he should have the wiring diagrams that he could copy for you. In my opinion it would be good to talk to one of the guys in his service department for knowledge. They are usually very willing to point you in the right direction on things. Gearing sounds about right. Good luck with your project.

I've tried the local dealer, got told to buy a manaul. They couldn't even get me a seal for the bottom of the chaincase said it was discontinued. New problem though. Is it common for the fuel pick up to come loose/leak? I noticed air in the fuel line out of the tank. There is fuel in it, and it's not low. Is this a hard repair? Hopefully I can find a tank to match the seat I had given to me.

Fuel pick up fixed. Moved up to a 39 bottom gear, this took up the slack in the chain, the adjuster was bottomed out. New seals and bearings in gear case. Using the newer seat till I can possibly trade it for the right one. Oh well, there snow on the ground and it's almost done. The wiring is straightened up but can't get the hand warmers to work.
