Hey guys. One last call out for help. Ok, here's the probem, I got an 89 exciter that runs ok when first fired up, until its up to temp and you let off the throttle. When you try to go again, there's barely enough power to make it move. I seems to be running extremely rich, lots of smoke, plugs are black and wet. Now, here is what I've done and checked. Cleaned carbs and made sure all is at factory settings. Checked exhaust to see if it was clear. Checked the resistance on the coil. Bypassed the TORS. Um thats all I remember but I'm sure there's more. I'm outta ideas and need some advice on where to check next from you exciter geniuses out there reading this. Thanks in advance.

If it's fouling plugs that quickly, I would make sure the main choke cable is not stuck.

I Inspected the chokes on the carbs too, they look to be in great shape, as for the cable's, I've even adjusted them back just to be sure. It's not fouling the plugs out till she's ran for a while, then I let off the gas then try to accellerate again, the when she's acting up. Thanks for the response though.

I forgot to ask if you've checked your compreesion for possible worn-out rings.

yep compression is 126 on both cylinders and holds pressure.
