We are selling our 1975 Johnson rotary powered 45 snowmobile. It ran great last year But it now needs a new coil, Its does need a new rear taillight lens and it has a chunk out of the windshield. Just put a brand new champion up77v spark plug in it. It has an electric start and reverse. Has good compression and spark. It is in great condition and very clean. I'm just not interested in working on something like this. how much do you know about your engine? I have a 1973 evinrude rc 35 trailblazer and cant get it to run wide open any advice ive changer the plug, cleaned the contacts on the fly wheel cleaned the carb and checked the electrical system. im wondering if it has a spark advance system thats not working?

There is a high speed bypass port that is activated by a butterfly valve tied to a control rod from the carb. If the link fell off or is missing, that's your problem.
