Any suggestions? I found the voltage rectifier so I decided to check the voltage coming out of the recepticles for the lights. It was at 2.8-3.4 volts is all. something seems wrong with this but I didn't know a bulb would blow at low voltage.
Please, HELP. Our ski doo Mach 1 '89keeps blowing headlamp & tail lamps. I've searched for the location of voltage regulator and haven't found anything.
The sled runs great, always has, and this problem just started.
Will really appreciate any help.
Thanks,

Have you tried a dealer. You might pay more but they should be able to get you one

I think its either the lighting coil or maybe the ignition. But obviously the lighting coil would sound like the one to go to the LIGHT. haha. I don't know if its possible but maybe there isn't a voltage regulator on that sled. Anyways if you wanna check different parts of your sled to see if you can find another part just look to the right of the screen on that link and click on different parts.
I selected your sled for your so that should be the right link.

Thanks for the advice, but I live in Montana and the closest dealer to our home is 200 miles. I'd surely need the headlight fixed to make that trip. jk. If all else fails I'll resort to that but we pride ourselves here in being able to "fix" things with bailing wire.

Thanks, that website is good. I'll trace things out for the voltage rectifier and get it tested. We live in Montana and are a long way from everything except snow.
Thanks again, you really helped w/ that website.
