I'm thinking that is a pre warning for a over heat.. When it goes solid the motor is at or over 200 degree's.. How were the snow conditions where you were riding??

Well I live in north dakota so right now the conditions are about 3-4 feet of snow with a lot of powder and thats what I was riding in in the ditches some spot's was soft and powder and the rest were hard drift's also when we unloaded it it tipped on its side and it started blinking as well. The guy I bought it from said check and clean the air filter and replace the spark plug's and I did that and it only goes up to 50 and then seem's like it bog's down and the light also blinks when it is started and idealing to if that makes a differnce thank you.

it sounds like it is a code, you need to take the ecu box into the dealer and have them read it...
they should do this free of charge.

Welcome to the world of snowmobiling! Problems, problems, and more problems. But don't worry theres an up side to it. Every now and then you get to ride it without any problems:tongue: But its all worth it in the end

hey i was wondering how long it takes for them to check the ecu or if tipping the sled over on its side would make the check engine light blink on and off like that

If I remember correctly a/c had put out a service bulliton on the 03-04 f sleds about the oil pumps If you laid it over on the left side you have to bleed the oil pump that is more than likely the issue

I just bought my 03 f7 this yr and after a little while the check engine light started blinking every time I drove it. I talked to a guy who works on sleds he told me to only use premium and to turn the gas switch to ethanol. He said that way it dumps more gas into the motor which keeps the motor cooler. I havent had the problem since and have driven about 700 miles. The only difference is it seems to top out at 100mph when before it was 105+. Once in a while I will turn the switch back to teach a yamaha,Ski doo, or polaris a lesson.
