A friend of mine is having trouble with his crossfire overheating. it is a 2006 early release model. The sled does fine on regular trail riding but will overheat on snow covered roads and on tight low speed trails.

My assumption is that because its a long track low speed tight trail riding doesnt allow for the snow to adhere back to the fron exchanger??? not sure but just wondering if anyone else has had problems with this.

I have had over-heating trouble when there is marginal snow too. I have also had a couple times when the snow on the rear exchanger turns to ice and melts a void between the exchanger and the ice and prevents snow from getting to it. Just need to knock the ice chunk off it and its good to go. This is rare on my late built crossfire, but more common on my buddy's early built.

this is a common problem when you are going slowly on roads, the snow just isnt getting to the heat exchanger, believe it or not the problem would be corrected more often just by increasing your speed, these machines are high performance machines and are not meant to cruise slowly.
