New to this site, but not new to sleds. Have been in and out of it for years...but it's been about 8 years since I paid much attention. I'm looking at mid to late 90's 2up machines and want some advice on best deal or sleds to avoid. Here's my list on what I've been looking at:

98 Pantera 800 2up 500mi $1500
95 Indy 600 XLT 2up 3500mi $1825 Real clean
96 Couger 550 2up 1600mi $1950 (mint)
96 Polaris model & size unknown at this time 2up $1400 Pics look great
97 Ski Doo Z583 2up 4500mi $1600 clean

Just me and my wife for now...may be hers if we get into it again and I will get single sled later...trails...lakes...ponds in so NH...Looking for best deal under $2K Also want reliable sled...Thanks.

I think the XLT is a tripple. My cousins have 4 polaris indys and out of them, the 600 tripple has given them the most trouble. The pantera doesn't sound bad considering miles as long as you don't mind a big sled. And the 96 Polaris could be good depending on miles/model. The skidoo has kinda high miles compared to the rest depending on how much you wanna use it.
