Purchased a new never been out of box 530 liquid cooled engine for my 86 el-tigre that blew last weekend.
Question is:
Any tips and tricks for install?
1- How to prime the oil pump.
2- Break-in procedure.
3- What type of oil to use etc....
Thanks in advance,
Brian

Sounds like a nice little project!!! Of the things you mentioned,, priming the oil pump is prolly most important!! but i don't remember how to do it  same with coolant,, get ALL the air out!!! then as far as break in... vary engine speed, don't give rides,, ie keep the load light,,, and maybe mix a little OIL IN the GAS,,, I would use cat 50-1 injection oil..... then make sure your carburation is spot on !!! good luck!!

there should be a bleeder screw on you oil pump...if you have an manual, It shows you where the bleeder screw. another thing you can do to get all the air out, is hold the oil pump wide open while the engine is running at an idle.
