I think Toadie made a comment on another post that he thought Snow west was a better forum so I thought I would ask a Snow west type question just for laughs. I personally enjoy both forums although SWRules . Ok, I prefer Newcastle brown ale if we are hangin out, but nothing beats an Irish horseman if the night is just getting started. Remember, I said after riding. :D happy trails

Sportade or crystal clear spring water for me.
By the time we return from riding, we have sweated so hard and so much that these are the only things that will quench that thirst.

after a ride for me i am too pooped for booze. when i trailer home and we stop for a bite along the way the people that don't unload their sleds and clean them all have a wobbly pop. when i get home whether trailered or ride home i clean the sleds off and have them ready for the next ride. i guess when i get ready to go sledding and i am ready 2 hours before everyone else it is because of what i do to have the sleds ready when i put them away. i usually carry about 2 or 3 one liter jugs of water with me because i need it.

After a 200+ mile day,too pooped to drink. Water or Gatorade to re-hydrate the body.

Early to bed, early to rise. I like to get a good night sleep so we are fresh in the morning and be the first ones out riding, definatly the best time to ride, between 6-9am.

When I do drink,my kidneys usaully filter out Bud Light.

I like beer, not that cheap stuff but real men's beer like "Fin du monde" end of the world in english. It has 9% alc. so it doesn't freeze outside ;) I also go for rum and coke, has to be dark rum though :) it seems to go really well with grilled cheese sandwhich cooked on campfire

Just say OV! That's Old Vienna for anyone east of Chatham; can't find a bar in Toronto that's heard of it! Used to be one of the Big three; Labatte's Blue, Molson Canadian and Karling O'Keefe Old Vienna, since bought out by Molsons.

Awe, never mind. Just give me a rum and coke with a twist of lime.

Jacqui.

Jacqui,

I'll drink OV with you anytime. Always the coldest beer in the bar, as no one else ever orders it anymore.
I grew up on it, as its all my dad ever drank, so any beer I stole when I was younger, was always OV.

You can get it at any bar in Windsor. I guess it's popular north to Sarnia and east to Chatham; after that it gets hard to find. I guess it's a blue-collar beer; suits me just fine! :D
