Hi, I can't seem to get my 2007 F8 to wheelie! It is just a standard F8 with no studs or mods on it! Does anyone know what I can do to make it wheelie> It only has 500 miles on it too

its not supposed to wheelie! if you start messing with suspension settings you will screw it up and then your ride wont be as nice...

my 2 cents: leave it alone

Matty is right..... you can soften the rear preload blocks, and the coupling blocks if ya want to "show off" a bit,, however, then the sled will be all wrong if ya want to really get on it in rough stuff or harder cornering,, besides, ya gotta have real GOOD traction to get the front end up, and have it stay up, which mean studs, so the track just don't spin....Of course all this is in your Owners Manuel

they made 07 F8, I thought the F8 came out in 08.

I could stand on my bumper of my ZRT600 and ride a big wheelie.

Yes studs can make a huge diffrence. They will increase your braking ability and give you tons more traction on the icey trails and or lake. If studded too agressively though it can also affect your steering in a bad way. The sled will tend to push straight because the track is getting too much bite. The steering will become alot less responsive with too many studs.

Or like me, you're about to switch out to a 2.25" paddle track on my F7.

My nubber track isn't doing it up here in the mountains. LOL.

Deep paddles + SLP Powder Ski's here I come.

Ya like red03f7 said, studs make a huge difference on ice. If you ever run into a hill that is complete ice on a trail you'll be more than happy that you studded your track. Other than that you can live without studs but its not nearly as fun cause of the slower speeds. And I've experimented with my sled and wheeling and even though the limiter strap is set loose, I can only wheelie on the really hard packed stuff. No matter what you do you need really good traction to wheelie so you won't always be able to do it.

hey if you really want to improve the capability of a ski stand than this is what ya gotta do take your limiter strapes and drill holes another inch from factory to pull it down tighter and compress the front skid shock as far as it will go dont worry about the blockes in back just take them off. the sled will flip over backwards if ya really want it to and when your really moving over the nasty stuff you wont even feel it the over all ride of the sled will improve to. Just what iv done good luck

studs will help is the straight line on ice of course but if your dealing with hardpacked like all the time studds ar gunna push like an S.O.B. through the corners and make the ride not as much fun with that much power get 10 in. carbides just the single one NO doubles they will accualy push in the corners too I would also recomend ice scratters they really help on hardpacked for keeping the skid lubricated

Ok, so, I was playin with my sled today (04' F7), and was looking at the suspension......

Would anyone mind explaining to me how to soften the rear blocks, or adjust the limiter straps? They appear to be non adjustable....

Also, I have Fox Zero Pro gas shocks on the rear. Should I soften them up? How do I adjust them?

I haven't had much luck looking around on the net for explanations, or instructions.

I'd really appreciate some help, if possible.

Thanks again

Matt you'll probably get a answer quicker by starting your own thread, but I believe there is a dial on the canister, as for the blocks, you can turn then, basicly 4 settings, everyone is going to have their own opinion on the next thing I say.. I personaly removed my block's and like it alot better.. Only difference I noticed is it does push alittle more while turning when on the throttle.. Some will say this messes up the susp. but I've had mine out for roughly 2000 mile with no ill effects. My opinion is it takes the roller's alot better than it did.. The other effect is the ski's will be in the air when your on the gas hard..
