I've got a 2000 Pantera 1000 that is impossible to turn over when the temperature gets below 10 degrees. I was wondering if anyone knows where to install the AC block heater #436-035 in the cooling lines so as to heat the engine correctly. I'm not sure of the flow direction of the coolant, or if the thermostat has a small bypass hole in it to allow the coolant to flow past to allow the heater to circulate the coolant.

If anyone has done this, or knows the direction of the flow of the coolant, it would help me determine where the heater could be installed.

Other than that, it's a great touring sled! I love it.

Thanks,

WisF7

Thanks for the reply, I was hoping that there would be a thundercat expert out there that would at the least know what direction the coolant flowed.
The biggest part of the issue is when they fit that huge 1000 triple in the chassis, there isn't much room left for extra's! I suspect that it would be best to place it is on the lower hose feeding the water pump, but there isn't much room there before the attaches, and the frame of the sled. Natural heat convection should carry the heat up through the motor.

Yes maybe some big block cat owners will chime in..... however.. i suspect cat never sold to many of the block heaters, to bad, cause it would help engine longevity a ton!!!
