I run AMSOIL Synthetic (the regular stuff, think it's called HP, roughly $35- / gallon cdn$) I've run it for 8 years & have never had an issue. Last 5 years I've been running Amsoil in an '02 ZR800efi with power valves, no problem with oil, & my power valves are always pretty clean.

My engine blew up last year (not due to oil). The left cylinder leaned out & took out everything except for the right cylinder, piston, & head. With 10,000 miles, the right cylinder & head still looked brand new!! The crosshatches in the cylinder looked perfect & the head had no defects. The right piston looked great too!! I was shocked at how well they had held up!

I bought a used engine & rebuilt it. I'm still running Amsoil. After seeing the condition of my last engine (on the right cylinder), with 10,000 miles, to look as good as it does... I'm a believer in Amsoil!!

Best advice: do some research & decide what's best for you. If you get 5 guys in a room & ask what the best oil is, chances are you'll get 5 very different & possibly angry responses...

It's your choice. I spent alot of time researching oils about 8 years ago & I chose Amsoil. I'm very happy with it. I'm sure others will disagree. It's a personal choice.
