todays gasoline has a short shelf life primarily due to alcohol additives. typically oem's recommend some type of fuel conditioner or stabilizer any time fuel is stored for more than a month. as fuel ages it's aki(anti knock index or "octane rating") drops. when octane gets too low detonation can occur which can burn holes in piston very rapidly. the problem can be worse at colder temps because the air charge is more dense at lower temp causing leaner mixture. if you did not treat the fuel at time of storage I would not chance it personally. remove the fuel and pour it in your cars fuel tank as auto engine aren't as susceptible and the fuel will be more diluted. I would consider removing and cleaning the carbs as well. the small amount of fuel in the carbs deteriorates faster than the fuel in the tank. bare minimum drain the float bowls, it will make starting easier with fresh fuel in the bowls. once it's running a while I would check the spark plugs a few times to ensure they are not running lean. golden brown is best, white is lean, black is rich. good luck.

Drain that gas , ad new gas and run a good carb cleaner in it .
