After the dealer getting the wrong helix several times they finally got the one I wanted(#860426800 50/47), and when I went to put it together,(2000 MXZ 700) it looks like its machined wrong!! The 1-6 holes are in a different spot. On the orig. one ,the # 1 hole is lined up with the keyway, and on the new one, its about 110 deg. to the left of it. Anyone know whats up with this, I want to go riding tomorrow!! You can see pics of the helixes at the link below under sleds. Thanks guys.

Dont worry about it you should still be able to get whatever preload your looking for. *You are measuring your preload right?

The helix you recived is an aftermarket helix and even though the holes are in a different location to the key they are the same settings, C6 in the old helix is the same as C6 in the new helix etc. -- *Bill

Where the holes are in relation to the key means nothing. It's where they are in relation to the ramps that matters.

Well I'm a moron...........once I looked at it I saw that the holes were just "clocked" 1/3 of the way around in a different position. I guess this is what happens when you try and work on a sled at midnite after a 12hr shift, should have known better. Thanks guys!!
