How long does it take (miles) to go through a gallon of oil? I just got a new Indy 500 and am curious about the oil consumption.

It varies sled to sled, and how hard you ride. Basically the more fuel you burn the more oil too. I would think at least 100 miles per quart, my brothers 2000 Indy 500 gets about 110-120 per quart.

No Idea. I always top off the oil before every ride & I carry a spare litre. You never know when a short ride will turn into an epic excursion!!! :D

[FONT=Courier]Depends on the sled but most of the Polaris models I have owned use about one quart per tank of gas.
Some of the newer sleds use half that amount.
