I voted for the Ski-Doo, but Yamaha makes the better real products, I just have to be honest...

I voted for Polaris but Jen has a new MXZ 500 SS and I like it, also loved my 94 Yamaha V-Max 4 had it for 10 years with no problems at all! The only one I have not like was Jen's 03 550 ZL but never had any problems with it either.

It's obvious from the results that ski-doo makes the best sled

They all have their good points. I don't have any experience riding Polaris sleds, but I think it's a toss up between Doo and Yamaha.

yamaha...

they make their own engines. They run reliably and do that for a long time, if you take care of them. They made the Vmax4...:D I gotta find one of them someday...

If chevy made snowmobiles, they would tow ford sleds home LOL

everyone has their favorites.Even tho i dont like the fact yami has gone all 4-stroke, Id probably buy a new Phazer if I was to purchase a new sled. 6500 isnt too bad for a brand new sled, and the Phazers seem to get nice reviews.

My Vmax better last a long time, cuz I only snowmobile for that 2-stroke smell :D jk ;)

Never did think of this as a Doo site but maybe it is. I voted Doo but they all make great sleds. In fact I love the F7's.

Of course SKI-DOO is the best, others have really strong points going for them but all around DOO leads the way, thay have been ahead of the competition for years now once they came over their little engine problems in the early 90's. Good suspension, awesome power and great reliability if you take care of it, of course they demand a little more maintenance, a good women will demand as much, and most of the time it is worth the penny.

I'm shocked to see Arctic Cat at the bottom of the list. This is a tough question to answer since so many people love a certain brand. I'm a Cat Man.

I riden everything but cat and can't say anything bad against any brand however the pole seems awefully one sided. I'll be riding my 4-stroke yami long after any 2-stroke out there though, and still grinning all the way past the pumps! SWRules

One of my sleds is a four stroke and the other a two stroke. Rides in the future will determine which will last longer but leaning towards the four stroke.

What is better about Ski Doo? Getting a new crank on warranty? Finding out that the XP 800 is 29 pounds heavier than advertised? Watching guys with big heavy sleds go right up the mountain where you can go? In the real world most of us know bull#### when we hear it, and if you think that selling the most sleds makes your sled the best built sled well just apply that logic to many other products. I think there are many good things about many different sleds, but to say that one is better than all the rest is just dumb, what are you using it for? Where do you ride? How do you ride? It all makes a big difference. A good rider can make a ####ty sled look good, but if all you care about is top speed, well then your Grandma could go just as fast on the lake as you riding on your sled! In the deep powder going up to say 8000 feet it's a lot different than riding on a frozen lake or on some groomed trails. Yesterday I was riding my M-8 with a bunch of guys on all different sleds, 700 Dragons, 800 XP'S and 800 Rev's, they all were having fun and we all went the same places, only 1 guy made a comment about not being able to go where he went, and after I went there , he didn't say too much. So enjoy what you got and shut up about other peoples sleds! If you don't like them , don't buy them.

SkiDoo is a price point machine. They're cheap, and alot of people will buy a doo for the obvious reason that a new doo is $3000 cheaper than say a Yamaha. If you're gonna buy new every 4 years, think of how much fuel money you're saving in your lifetime by buying a Doo. And a Doo will definately last 4 years without too many problems.
Therefore, seeings there's more Doo's out there than anything, it's obvious that they'll take the poll.
But look at the facts.
1.) Yamaha makes some of the best engines in the world (for any machine). Comming 2nd to possibly Honda ONLY (who don't produce sleds)
2.) Take a gander through the recall section. Where are the Yamaha recalls? I see mainly service bulletins. How many recalls do the other 3 major brands have? Just take a peek. The proof is right there in front of all of you.

Yamaha by far makes the more reliable and better constructed sleds. They're suspension tends not to be as smooth as the others, however, is stronger and more reliable.
If there was some strange law that only allowed us to buy a new sled every 15 years..... you could bet your last dollar, almost everyone would spend the extra $ and buy Yamaha.

i`m a die hard ski-doo man and the way i look at todays sleds are that they are all good when they run and all suck when they break. i`ve had one of mine on a tow rope before.
