I left the remains of my clutch bearing with a local old guy, who deals with new ski doo parts and old sleds. It was a wierd size, 52mm x 15mm x 28.6mm so none of the regular bearing outfits have one or can get one. I've left the bearing with the guy for over a week, and he keeps saying he will call me later in the day and never does.

I'm going to get my bearing back tomorrow, but does anybody know where I can get one of these bearings? The bombardier part number is still on the bearing, I wish I wrote it down.

Its for a 72 Nordic 440.

did you check ebay?

I phoned this place that sells parts and gave them the part number from the bearing: 4054008

He said that doesn't sound right, it needs two more numbers. He added two zeros to the end, and voila! They had two in stock and they were only eight bucks.

Needless to say, I now have a brand new 405400800 bearing in my hands.

Eight bucks? i had to get new bearings for my sled and it costed 25 bucks! jeeze!
